THANK YOU TO ALL WHO VISITED A COUNTRY HOUSE CHRISTMAS!
Keen shoppers were lined up at the door way ahead of the opening times of A COUNTRY HOUSE CHRISTMAS at the recent weekend events. This was the first time that Trevince had been open to the public in generations, so visitors came for both the history of the house and the unique retail event and café.
“We are thrilled with the numbers of people that visited during the two weekends we hosted the event”, said Trish Stone, who spearheaded this event with husband Richard, “we expected local interest, but people came from all over Cornwall…as far away as Penzance, Launceston, Liskeard and even Saltash, which is very encouraging”.
While four seasonal staff were hired to help with this event, the entire family, including cousins and grandparents, joined in helping with the demand for good quality gifts, home décor products, and the popular café…. with a bit of history thrown in.
“Visitors seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience of Christmas shopping in a historic family home”, said Richard Stone, whose family has been at Trevince for over 700 years. “It was great to see the house come alive again, and we appreciate everyone who came to support our first event”.
