Come off at exit to Scorrier on B3298, start off towards Redruth and turn left just before the Crossroads House Care Home, going under a railway bridge. At the crossroads go straight ahead and follow that road for 3½ miles through Carharrack and down almost to the A393 Redruth-Falmouth road. Just before that junction there is a left turn to Gwennap. After about quarter of a mile the road branches, follow the signs for the estate gardens entrance.
Take the A393 towards Redruth. About 1½ miles after Ponsanooth turn right towards Gwennap opposite the entrance to Burncoose Nursery. Go down the hill into Gwennap and across the weak bridge, and follow the signs for the estate gardens entrance.
Take the A393 towards Falmouth. Go through Lanner and turn left just after the Fox and Hounds pub. Then turn immediately right to Gwennap, then take a left over the weak bridge, and follow the signs for the estate gardens entrance.
Don’t follow signs to Gwennap Pit which is about 2 miles away from the village of Gwennap.
